- Football team of the 20th Duke of Cambridge's Own Infantry (Brownlow's Punjabis), 1920.
- The British introduced football to India and it was taken up enthusiastically by the soldiers of the Indian Army. Like their British counterparts, Indian Army regiments took part in competitions against both Indian and British units stationed on the subcontinent.
- The 20th Punjabis were composed of 2 companies of Pathans, 1 of Sikhs and 1 of Dogras. During the Great War they served in Mesopotamia and Egypt.
